Our Grant Objectives & Goals

Enhance Grassroots Capacity: Support multicultural community-led organisations to build a cohesive Australia.
Foster Social Participation: Encourage active involvement and cross-cultural collaborations among isolated community members and diverse groups.
Promote Mutual Respect: Increase understanding across racial, religious, and cultural diversity to build strong community ties.

Project Delivery Verticals

To achieve these goals, we are rolling out programs tailored across six core community verticals:
1. Yoga for Mindfulness and Stress Release
o Activities: Yoga and mindfulness sessions tailored for new arrival cohorts and isolated community members.
o Goal: Improve physical and emotional wellbeing while fostering a sense of belonging.
2. Youth & Students Mentoring
o Activities: Establishment of a Youth Leadership and Belonging Program and support interactive youth circles.
o Goal: Explore identity, manage exam/peer pressure, navigate intergenerational values, and foster youth-led cross-cultural collaboration.
3. Women’s Health & Wellbeing
o Activities: Community gathering activities (cafés, walking groups, shared cooking, gardening) and culturally sensitive health sessions.
o Goal: Provide safe, supportive spaces discussing mental health, relationships, caring obligations, and overall women’s health awareness.
4. Art for Inclusion and Cultural Pride
o Activities: Inclusive art and art-therapy sessions (clay modelling, murti, dot mandala, quilling, painting, flower making).
o Goal: Support emotional expression, concentration, and cultural pride among children, seniors, and adults with special needs.
5. Connecting Lineages for Cross Cultural Understanding
o Activities: Deliver family storytelling sessions and cross-cultural parenting workshops inspired by shared universal values (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family).
o Goal: Promote positive parenting, reduce family stress, and encourage participation in wider community celebrations like Harmony Week.
6. Financial Empowerment for Decisions & Responsibility
o Activities: Deliver webinars and in-person workshops on financial literacy, security, and navigating local financial products, together with available
information or support options.
o Goal: Build decision-making confidence and awareness of available support services for new migrants and CALD individuals.
